Celebrating 15 years of Healing Harmonies is a significant milestone that prompts both reflection and forward looking. Reflecting on this journey, it has been filled with countless lessons and growth. For many years, my primary identity has been that of a music therapist, a passion that lies at the heart of our organization. However, as Healing Harmonies has expanded, my role has had to evolve into a leadership position. Achieving my Masters in Music Therapy, with an emphasis on business and leadership, was a deliberate step to ensure the success of this vision for our staff and, most importantly, our clients.
What has become clear over these past 15 years is that while I value direct client work, our true impact lies in the strength of our team. Our clients have always been our North Star, guiding every decision we make. By building a larger, dedicated staff, we can provide more people with essential services than I ever could on my own. Because of this, we are very intentional about who we bring on board. We prioritize hiring individuals who share our dedication and align with our core vision and mission, upholding the same principles of humility and integrity that have defined Healing Harmonies for these last 15 years.
As we look to the exciting year ahead, we acknowledge that staffing will always present challenges. We simply ask for grace and patience as we navigate changes, with the absolute assurance that the best interests of our clients will always remain at the forefront. This anniversary year also marks a major transition for us with a significant move. The vision for this next space is that it will serve as a welcoming, warm community hub for creativity and healing, a true embodiment of what Healing Harmonies stands for.
Reflecting on these 15 years, I am very humbled by the immense support we have received. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has been a part of our story, whether they have come and gone or are still with us. Their contributions have been invaluable. We eagerly anticipate fostering many more relationships and creating countless opportunities to explore music and art together in the years to come.
